New Deploy: Todos Fixed

Much to the joy of Productivity Lovers among our userbase is the recent (what, 10 minutes ago?) fix of the todo list feature. Now it doesn’t throw an ugly error! Wherever you are, get up and shout for joy.. everyone will understand.

For the CalendarHub history buffs, i.e. those that have been following us for a while, the todo list capability was actually constructed sometime back in February of 2006, but did not make it into production until last April 07 along with the Natural Language Parser. Why? Well, I can’t say exactly why, maybe just chalk it up as extreme oversight or something. We’ll do better with future features. Cross our hearts.

Todos can be attached to events, or not. See the ‘Todos’ tab on the event popup. Its cool because if you’re creating events as milestones or just wanting to keep track of todos for events (ex: Event: Johnny’s Birthday; Todo: ‘Pick up candles for the cake’), its an easy mental association because it provides good context… which means tasks are likely easier to digest and much more fun to track. Well, thats the way my saturated brain works anyhow. You can see all your todos (and associated event, if any) on the ‘Todos’ view, as opposed to Day | Week | Month | Year | List.

Enjoy, but be very kind to your todos. We will continue working and make the interface a bit prettier for them, so they’ll feel right at home.
