CalendarHub Launched

CalendarHub is now open to the public! Ok, so this post is a little late. Tell your friends and your family about us and start sharing your calendar. It’s nice to share.
Oh, and when you finally decide that you’re ready to share your decked-out calendar with your friends, you’ll be happy to know that our signup process has been simplified a bit. Also, we’ve added a helpful tips box to make it even easier for users to pick up on the more interesting features like subscriptions, groups, and invites.
One last thing. Personal calendars will always be free. We won’t suprise you after our beta. We like our users and we want to keep you around :). So go ahead and share, schedule, and organize for free.

Could you CalendarHub guys and girls(?) maybe give the us (the users) some more insight into what you are up to and what your plans are? Any upcoming milestones, important fixes, etc? I have sent you some feedback from what I thinking is not working right or is lacking from CalendarHub but I have no idea if it is taken up by you at all. For one thing I would like CalendarHub itself to provide an iCal feed so I can use a calendar desktop client.
I have also sent in a couple of suggestions, but I have no idea if they are heeded (or if they head straight into /dev/null). ;) I would love to have a way for CalendarHub to send me an email of my calendar on a set schedule (i.e. everyday or once a week, similar to Yahoo's calendar). Also, like Edgar above, import/export with iCal formatted calendar software would be a godsend. Thanks, Jeff
Oops. I meant to offer my email address for my comment above in case anyone had any questions. Sorry for the double-post.
Good stuff! Needs some documentation though. And page showing some of the social many uses would be cool. As you were.
I like this , but the one thing that I would like to see is a way to merge it with Palm pilots and / or other email accounts such as Gmail.
Hello. I really like this service. I was wondering if there is a way to display subscription calendars in a published calendar.
Have reacently started using this, really great site keep up the good work. One suggestion, i would really like to colour code certain events, so say for Birthdays they come up red etc, and if you have multiple events on one day the background of each line listed is the corresponding colour. Cheers
Yeah, I think more updates are greatly needed. I was told this was great but after a day or so I found it hard to use, and the lack of features sadding. I agree with Matt with the colors. And also with Margarita with email notifications.
Thanks for all the feedback. We are definitely working on some new features and a lot of fixes and enhancments. Look for an update real soon.

I am using this now on my website www.gumtau.org as a reminder for myself and friends- let´s see how it works.
well.... I suppose I'm going to give up and go somewhere else. The interface is pretty awsome (ajax and all) but they don't seem to be adding anything. More features such as color coding and a little bit more polished "re occuring" function would be nice.
yeah, well, it's a free service... give them a break.
Is there anywhere other that this post's comments where people can ask questions, and possibly get answers to questions about behaviour etc?
Thanks for your good application! I'm using it and its a so easy and useful. I suggest that it could be more useful if can export to iCal format.
The application is a great first effort, but it is rather S L O W. Click on links and then wait, wait, wait. It appears to be fixable; perhaps a good problem to have (capacity?). Secondly, i know it's 'beta', but there are unexplainable bugaboos. For instance, clicking on "settings" showed another user's (!!!) information. No--no proxy, just a simple cable modem. Another example: 2 shared calendars, Jane can see Jack, but Jack can't see Jane. Even though both are configured and set to see each other's and the appts on both are set to "group." Inexplicable. Again, great first effort.
I found that this free calendar is linked to webspawner. And I was loosing my stuff I was putting into pages when the page ran out, though it all showed on the page I was doing. I either copied it before I tested it and hoped I didn't loose anything. Now I can put in lots of details w/o loosing what I am working on. I am sending my friends and fam here instead of my website for our local events, as I am their search engine for things to do, instead of inundating their emails! This way they can come to me if they want, instead of me sending stuff they might not read because there is so much content in my emails! And with webspawner there are multiple pages to see every thing, where here it is all on one page/ea mo. The seperating of the same day events would be very good. Like Red then Blue to seperate them instead of my using the * at the beginning of each same day list! Good thing. No complaints at all. I appreciate having it very much! Thanks! Best wishes Good luck! Calendarhub!
C'mon CalendarHub team - you are gaining momentum with an excellent service here, it's time to start treating your users with respect. You can't have 24 hours of downtime without some kind of explanation. Get one of your developers posting more frequently to the blog. Just a "
Sorry, we did have a few hours of downtime early Friday morning because of a power problem at the datacenter that was beyond our control. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Any chance of a "fortnight" recurrence choice? That would make this a smidge handier...good job otherwise...v happy
The entries for Wednesday are being left out of the calendar "badge"! Also, repeating every 4 weeks is NOT the same as every month.
EXTREMELY upset that within hours of creating a PRIVATE calendar 2 people who I had invited to events received e-mail purporting to be from me inviting them to a random event (some unknown person's birthday). This means that not only was my private calendar accessed somehow but the e-mail addresses of people I had invited to events was accessed. No way on the website to cancel my account. Very unhappy and just hope I will be able to cancel and never have my e-mail address or the e-mail addresses of the 2 people I invited ever abused again.
Funny, you got someone else's invites. That doesn't say compromised data or spamming to me, just a beta bug probably. I haven't seen anything of the sort, of course, I haven't used the invites feature much.
SMS isn't working. Would love to have that feature; thanx. Linc
newbie... omg I love it. I want like to be able to change the names of my calendar's by clicking on them. Like flickr pictures do. I want to have my whole calande emailed to me at the end of each week/day? Or is that an rss setting I have not discovered. *brett blushes and wants to giggle* and omg i love it.
